This year, I had this great idea to get a picture of Laney "writing" a Valentine's card. She would be sitting up holding the crayon, the card would be facing the right direction to read it in the photo, she would look at the camera smiling...no problem. Crazy mom! Instead, I made a cute little rosette thing (it's hiding behind her arm) and she kept trying to eat it and then falling over. Then, she wouldn't hold the crayon, she'd eat it immediately. I couldn't get her to look at the camera. Every time she'd be set for some pics, she'd topple over. Silly girl...or silly mom?
I also found this cute, little garland and decided to make my own decoration. The photos don't really do it justice but I love how it turned out.

My final Valentine's fun was for my students. I loved this idea and liked not giving my class more candy. Valentine's is my favorite school party and I was sad to miss it this year, but enjoyed a fun day with the baby girl. I'm sure I'll get to hear about some Valentine card drama when I work tomorrow. :)
